Drinking to manage stress could make things worse

You may think that a few rounds at the bar will alleviate stress, but a recent report suggests that alcohol may in fact intensify stress by decreasing stress-response hormones within your body. Furthermore, stress can both reduce the good feelings one gets from alcohol and increase the desire to consume more.
